Overview

We are seeking a skilled Linux Technician to join our team in a Tier 1/2 support role. This position involves providing technical support in production, is application focused, and includes some automation, scripting, and monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a background in Linux systems and experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, Splunk, and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 support for Linux systems.

• Automate routine tasks using Python, Bash, and Ansible.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using Splunk and Grafana.

• Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Linux servers.

• Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with other IT staff to improve system reliability and efficiency.

• Document processes and solutions for future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Linux system administration and support.

• Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash.

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and Grafana.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+).

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
