About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Legal Technology Matter Management and Core Services Development. The Wells Fargo Legal Technology team is responsible for all application design, development, and implementation on behalf of the Wells Fargo Legal Department. Solutions include in-house developed applications, vendor provided application, and vendor-hosted solutions, all of which integrate to provide a seamless systems landscape for our legal department and bank users.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs supporting Legal Technology Enterprise Legal Management and Core Services

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with internal/external teams to troubleshoot and fix production support issues, maintain production stability to enterprise-wide applications. Recommend system enhancements and performance improvements.

  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide developer support for installs.

  • Remediate security vulnerabilities and implement technology mandates in a timely matter to remain system compliant.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years development configuring and administration of Onit Enterprise Legal Matter Management platform

  • 3+ years of experience in SQL database like Oracle, SQL Server, etc..

  • 3+ years of experience in CICD tools, such as GitHub, etc..

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working understanding and knowledge of integrating cloud or on-premises and SaaS products

  • Experience developing and deploying critical features at-scale in an enterprise context

  • Experience with technologies such as Liquid, and JSON

  • Onit or other Industry Certification

  • API development and testing

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience.

  • Prior experience working in Agile teams
