The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Scope of the Position:

The IT HR Technology Leader is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of innovation HR technology solutions that support the strategic goals of the organization. The IT HR Technology Leader will collaborate with HR and IT stakeholders to identify business needs, define requirements, evalutate options, and deliver solutions that enhance the employee experience and optimize HR processes. The IT HR Technology leader will also manage the HR Technology portfolio, oversee vendor relationships, ensure data quality and security, and provide technical guidance and support to HR users.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR technology strategy and roadmap, aligning with the HR and IT vision and priorities.

  • Manage the HR technology portfolio, including the selection, implementation, integration, maintenance, and enhancement of HR systems and applications.

  • Partner with HR and IT stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, evaluate options, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

  • Ensure the HR technology solutions are user-friendly, scalable, reliable, secure, and compliant with data privacy and regulatory standards.

  • Manage the HR technology budget, resources, vendors, and contracts, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of deliverables.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to HR users, including training, documentation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

  • Partner with HR to leverage IT Digital solutions for enhancing HR processes and applications.

  • Lead the design and implementation of HR technology projects including upgrades as well as new applications.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance, functionality, and user satisfaction of HR technology solutions, and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the HR technology domain, and recommend solutions that align with the organization's goals and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, human resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in leading and managing HR technology projects and solutions, preferably in a large and complex organization.

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, systems, and applications, such as HRIS, payroll, benefits, talent management, learning management, performance management, etc.

  • Proficient in HR technology platforms, tools, and methodologies, such as cloud, SaaS, APIs, agile, etc.

  • Proficient in HR software (SAP SuccessFactors, SAP BTP, SAP App Builder strongly desired).

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering HR solutions.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Demonstrated leadership, innovation, and continuous learning mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing business and technology needs.

Location:

  • Corning, NY, Charlotte, NC, or option to be remote.

The range for this position is $176,785.00 - $243,080.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
