This role is vital to the operations within the restaurant because you’ll:

  • be responsible for running a profitable restaurant

  • make sure the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These

standards are high, so this is a big job!

  • work with your supervisor and Owner Operator, to set the restaurant’s goals where you will create a plan to achieve these goals

  • hire and develop Department and Shift Managers to make sure that the restaurant has the right team to reach the restaurants goals

To meet your restaurant goals, the General Manager doesn’t work alone. They lead a team of Department Managers that have specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This means:

  • helping the Department Managers set their own goals

  • following up on their progress by providing

  • coaching and direction to improve their departments; by improving the departments, the restaurant improves!

  • knowledge, full understanding and great explanation of P&L, food cost and labor percentage

So, can you?

  • Lead the experience: Manage all aspects within the restaurant, including food production, guest service and experience, and direct crew and manager work

  • Plan for success: Proactively lead and manage restaurant processes including but not limited to: Train, coach and motivate

  • Be in the know: Plan for and make critical business decisions around inventory, budget, and food ordering/costs

  • Take action first: Ensure food safety measures and goals are set and achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence

  • Inspire and Empower: Maintain high level of standard for guest and employee safety

  • Be results oriented: Oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence
