Responsible for coordination and execution of operational resilience programs. May have oversight of for Business Continuity planning and/or facilitation of Incident/Crisis Management activities throughout the disaster lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Lead operational aspects of the Business Continuity Planning program, including delivery of training, tabletop and functional exercises, and completion of Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).

  2. Coordinate and review core activities of the Business Continuity Planning framework inclusive of gap assessments, risk measurement, appropriateness of mitigation strategies, and material risk identification.

  3. Conducts ongoing, daily situational awareness monitoring and communicates possible or actual events to stakeholders, i.e., severe weather, government shutdown or other related events.

  4. Manages needed activities for event / incident including assigning roles to the team as necessary to complete tasks. Participate in actual events to monitor activities, ensure processes are followed, actions and risks are addressed real time, and facilitate technology retrospective review.

  5. Develop response plans to events that include teammate communication, updates, situation reports and coordination as needed. Ensure responses meet the stated goals and do not negatively impact client or teammate experience or create new pain points.

  6. Works closely with stakeholders at multiple levels across the organization to facilitate process improvement and execute on delivery of those improvements.

  7. Proactively identify opportunities for risk mitigation and work with partners as needed to develop enhancements to mitigate risk.

  8. May be responsible for coordination of communications for significant technology related communications.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience.

  2. Five years of risk management experience in business continuity or related field.

  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  4. Demonstrates leadership qualities of strategic thinking, planning execution, fosters collaboration

  5. Excellent relationship building and partnering skills including persuasion and negotiation skills.

  6. Experienced in managing highly complex projects independently that cross multiple business units.

  7. Exceptional analytical skills and experience in business process design with operations performance optimization and improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity of key technology solutions deployed by the bank and critical applications used by LOBs/functions

  2. Excellent working knowledge of key technology solutions deployed by the bank and critical applications used by LOBs/functions.
