TEKsystems Financial Intelligence Analyst II-SAR (REMOTE) in Charlotte, North Carolina

TEKsystems is currently searching for career-driven candidates interested in a Remote Financial Intelligence Analyst II opportunity with a Fortune 100 Financial Institution!

Job Details:

  • Full time, 100% Remote

  • Training Schedule: Monday -Friday 9am-5:30pm EST (Must be able to work in the Eastern Time Zone)

  • Shift Schedule: Normal Business hours are 8am-4:30pm EST. Needs to be flexible.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • REQUIRED : Candidates must have experience in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/Anti-Money Laundering (AML).

  • REQUIRED: Must have experience with Verafin, a BSA/AML system.

  • Analytical experience

  • Experience reviewing transactional data

  • Ability to identify red flags

  • Autonomous person

  • BSA/ Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement or similar regulatory background /experience, is preferred.

Basic Purpose:

  • To perform research and analysis of credit union's account activity and file Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs). Perform research and draft correspondence for law enforcement subpoenas and inquiries. Maintain knowledge of BSA/AML and OFAC history, regulations, and industry guidance.

  • To perform research and analysis of credit union's account activity related to suspicious transactions and identify red flags. Create and maintain Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) associated with suspicious account activity requiring more complex research or in- depth investigation. Ensure adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations. Work is performed under significant supervision.

  • To support day-to-day Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) operations. To respond to ad-hoc OFAC related queries. Maintain knowledge of OFAC history, regulations, and industry guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate various types of transactions/activities/cases (Anti-Money Laundering, Structuring) including currency structuring and reported or alleged loss of assets from various business channels

  • Compile, prepare and maintain data for analysis and reference

  • Create detailed reports of investigations to include actions taken and results, including completing

  • Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) when appropriate

  • Monitor timeline from identification/notification of BSA/AML activity to closure, ensuring service level agreements and regulatory requirements are met

  • Support day-to-day OFAC operations, including completing scans of members and other parties as required by Credit Union's risk-based policies

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses/scanning against OFAC/other lists when necessary

  • Maintain required documentation for NCUA, Internal Audit and government law enforcement agencies

  • Complete training as required by policy/supervision

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal/ state laws, rules, regulations, and credit union's policies and procedures

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00
