Hart & Hickman Environmental Health & Safety Professional in Charlotte, North Carolina
Hart & Hickman, PC (H&H) is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Professional for our growing team. This position is based in our Charlotte office. This position will offer an opportunity to meaningfully contribute to our company's internal health and safety programs and work on a variety of environmental assessment, compliance, and/or remediation projects.

Candidates for this Charlotte position should possess approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in environmental health & safety.
The minimum requirements for consideration include:
2 to 5 years of experience with environmental health and safety
Educational background in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or related field
Capacity for critical thinking and technical writing
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to large groups
The duties for this position will include:
Conducting Health and Safety audits or reviews at environmental project sites
Preparing site-specific Health and Safety Plans
Preparing Job Safety Analysis Forms
Investigating injury and near-miss incidents, reporting & follow-up
Recommending processes and procedures to reduce work hazards
Reviewing and improving our safety practice standard operating procedures
Training staff in effective safety programs including Stop Work Authority, zero-incident goals, safe work practices, etc.
Preferred Candidates will have at least one of the following:
Field experience in environmental sampling, underground storage tank removal, environmental boring oversight, and/or remediation oversight
Environmental compliance experience
Environmental permitting experience
Various experiences in environmental consulting
