Job Description Summary

The Corporate Treasury Product Controller is a critical role responsible for supporting the accurate financial reporting and control of the Bank’s Treasury products. This role will ensure financial reporting accuracy across the entire product lifecycle, including general ledger (GL) balances, compliance with internal controls, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and process improvement, with the ability to leverage technology to streamline financial reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a pivotal finance role that impacts the broader organization’s financial controls and provides exposure to high-level Treasury and capital markets operations. The role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge tools like Alteryx and Tableau, making a tangible impact on process efficiencies.

This role reports to the Corporate Product Controller within the Global Legal Entity Controller organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute month-end close responsibilities, including accounting calculations, journal entries, and product reviews.

• Review and analyze monthly financial results, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal reporting standards.

• Execute and document SOX compliance requirements, enhancing controls and mitigating risk where necessary.

• Lead process improvements, focusing on reducing risks, lowering costs, and optimizing operations within Corporate Treasury.

• Support the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to improve stakeholder engagement and enhance overall efficiency.

• Collaborate across teams, including Balance Sheet Management, Chief Investment Office, and Business Finance, to ensure seamless financial reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, ideally within banking or professional services.

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, treasury functions, or product control within capital markets.

• Proven experience in process re-engineering and leading operational improvements.

• Ability to navigate complex financial data, with strong analytical skills.

• Proficiency in leveraging technology to optimize financial processes.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (Master’s Degree or CPA certification is a plus).

• Knowledge of hedge accounting (Note: Expertise is not required, but hedge accounting is a selling point for this role as part of an exciting learning opportunity).

• Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or other automation tools is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with SOX compliance and the ability to design and implement internal controls.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and embrace ambiguity.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence business partners and work collaboratively across functions.

• Experience working with emerging technologies and a forward-thinking mindset to evolve processes over time.
