The Compensation Consultant is a subject-matter-expert that collaboratively develops and delivers strategic compensation solutions (programs, policies, processes, and practices) meeting the needs of Novant Health. Serves as the trusted advisor for job design, classification of positions, development of compensation and total rewards proposals, the application of salary administration guidelines and regulatory requirements. Responsible for providing comprehensive compensation consulting to the business, P&C Business Partners and team members for effective and efficient delivery of compensation programs. Leads efforts to ensure successful design, build and integration of systemwide compensation initiatives, programs and projects. Research market trends and data to project compensation needs. Understands data sources and analytic methodologies to remain objective, develop and support recommendations to the business that inform data driven decisions and further promotes this practice with team members. Analyzes large sets of data to monitor and identify trends, potential risks and pay issues for proactive resolution. Oversees the salary survey process and analyzes results to ensure ongoing equity and market competitiveness. Proposes, implements, and maintains competitive, cost effective and legally compliant compensation programs. This role works effectively across the compensation team as a lead and partners with HR stakeholders, HRBPS, the business and leaders, as well as, representing the Total Rewards team by promoting Novant Health's Compensation philosophy and P&C vision.

Job Relationships: Reports to and receives assignments from the P&C Director of Compensation.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.

  • Experience: 7 years In Human Resources, Compensation Management, or Consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices, required.

  • Licensure/Certification: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP, PMP, preferred.
