Compensation: $200k-225k (all-in, including base & bonus)

Benefits: full MDV, great PTO

Work Arrangement: Full-time, permanent/direct hire

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a background in the construction industry to join our client's executive team. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the company, ensuring sustainable growth and financial stability. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, experience in construction finance, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability goals. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide detailed variance analysis.

  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

  • Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. Manage treasury functions, including investments, banking relationships, and credit facilities.

  • Cost Management and Optimization: Implement cost control measures and ensure efficient allocation of resources. Oversee project cost accounting and job cost analysis.

  • Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and high performance.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

  • MBA or CPA preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the construction industry.
