Robert Half Cash Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description

We are looking for a Cash Analyst to join our team in the hospitality industry, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our corporate and site cash accounts, working closely with banks, credit card processors, and field associates. This position offers a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle the reconciliation of corporate and site cash accounts with the general ledger on a daily basis

• Investigate and process exception transactions related to corporate and site cash accounts

• Provide robust support for hotel cash handling and deposit procedures

• Maintain the general ledger by independently reviewing, analyzing accounts, and generating necessary journal entries

• Engage in constant communication with site level, internal departments, and technical support to ensure accuracy throughout the entire process

• Manage and communicate exceptions effectively

• Conduct weekly reporting on field deposits

• Handle month-end account reconciliation and reporting

• Provide additional analytics and reporting as necessary

• Step in as backup support to other team members when required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:

  • A strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.

  • A high proficiency in performing research and analysis on financial and statistical data.

  • Ability to work independently, exercising sound decision-making and discretion.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and comfortability in learning new software systems.

  • Must have General Ledger (GL) software experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in cash accounting and/or cash reconciliation.

  • Proficient English language skills: written and oral.

  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Office, General Ledger system, Report Writers, and intermediate Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in bank account reconciliation.

  • Experience in general ledger accounting.

  • Knowledge of credit card processing.

  • Experience with Oracle Cash Management and/or Account Reconciliation (ARCS).

    Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with Ceridian software

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions

• Ability to use About Time software

• Skilled in various Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Proficiency in using Oracle software

• Background in Hospitality management

• Experience in Hotel management
