Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for individuals to teach undergraduate classes (any format in person, hybrid, or full only) with expertise or prior teaching of large (100 +) undergraduate courses such as PSYC 2117, 2121, 2124, or 2151 for Fall 2024. In addition, a candidate being able and willing to teach research methods courses will be desirable.

Responsibilities could include: Developing and/or updating course syllabus, preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments, meeting all designated class periods, maintaining regularly scheduled office hours, grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner, submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.

Minimum Experience / Education:

MA/MS or PhD in Psychology or related field; related teaching experience at the undergraduate level; excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to interact effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

Familiarity with undergraduate Psychology curriculum; familiarity with

online course technology and learning management systems (Canvas); NC resident or greater Charlotte metropolitan area.
