Oracle Senior Program Manager in Charleston, West Virginia

Job Description

In this Senior Technical Program Manager role, you will be working across a multi-functional team that understands our business and its objectives, to lead us through planning and designing technical solutions to solve the business’s problems in a very agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The position relies heavily on influence rather than authority to drive projects.

You will define project scopes, plan and direct schedules while focusing on automation and efficiency in the operation of our restricted realms.; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.

You will monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. You will assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

You will collaborate closely with our partners in program and product management, operations, and engineering to understand our customers and build the right solutions and products that makes their needs and businesses complete.

You should possess exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and notable experience collaborating in hybrid teams. You are a self-starter technical leader with a shown ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new projects.

You have strong interpersonal skills including collaborating and team building. You should be customer-focused with a passion for the cloud. You will partner closely with peers, developers, and customers to create solutions, while simultaneously evolving existing capabilities.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level.

  • Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.

  • Strong skills to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues.

  • Experience with technical design discussions and ability to summarize complex trade-offs and options in presentation and technical documentation

  • Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership.

  • Ability to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as hands-on technical project / program manager; preferably in a related industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and drive process improvements

  • Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • A demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically.

  • Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment.

  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7 to 10 years of project management, product design or related experience

  • Experience managing cloud development or operational projects

  • Thorough understanding of public cloud infrastructure services, such as Compute, Storage, Identity and Networking

  • Experience in cloud operations

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
