Job Description

Job Location: Charleston, SC (Onsite)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, management, or finance

  • Prior treasury experience a plus, but not required

  • Attention to detail to efficiently allocate your resources to achieve thoroughness and accuracy while accomplishing tasks

  • Analytical skills including critical thinking, data analysis, research, and communication to identify and solve complex problems with the best possible solution

  • Organization skills to maintain an orderly workspace, meet deadlines, and communicate well with others in the organization

  • Able to work independently and think through problems with a more creative solution approach without supervision

  • Thorough knowledge of Excel to solve common as well as unusual work problems

Essential Job Functions:

  • Initiate daily wires for earnest money deposits and closing amounts for the purchase of one-by-one acquisitions

  • Process returned bank account items and distributes them to other departments, as needed

  • Process miscellaneous deposit items for corporate and fund-related bank accounts

  • Facilitate the growth of banking relationships in conjunction with the Treasury Team

  • Assists with the opening/closing of accounts and management of the accounts within each banking platform

  • Support the treasury team in organizing and implementing policies and procedures for treasury functions including wire processing, account requests, statements and transfers, and treasury or bank-related software and technology

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures of cash management activities

  • Contribute to the development of Treasury policies, procedures, and operational controls

  • Manage and facilitate the relationship with CoreLogic and Ryan Tax for real estate tax tracking and payments. Ensure payments of real estate taxes are made timely and any delinquencies are handled with the utmost care to correct as quickly as possible

  • Support ad hoc requests and special projects

Key Metrics & Responsibilities

  • Accuracy of wires sent and verification of wires

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, including the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.

  • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.

  • Position may involve sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 25 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.

  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.

  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.

Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances. For safety reasons, employee must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.

  • Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment that may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.

  • Must be able to work in the office as regularly scheduled
