Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Direct, train and supervise a group of teammates within the Revenue Cycle Areas and Patient Access on and off site. Must demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal relationship skills/abilities and assist with team development in areas of continuous improvement, which include team building skills and team performance. Some positions may require off shift availability for staff questions, issues, and call outs.
Essential Job Functions
Training/orienting new and existing teammates making sure the department stays up to date on compliance issues and general billing/collection changes.
Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinaryactions.
Meets with teammates on a regular basis to summarize team effectiveness.
Reviews on a daily basis all task, training issues and the status of the workloads for RevenueCycle Staff in order to develop and monitor teammate productivity.
Compile data, create inquiries and process departmental reports as needed. With this data,you must be able to facilitate process improvement within the respective areas to streamlineprocesses and become more efficient if possible.
Complete bi-weekly time & attendance accurately and within payroll’s pre-determined timelimit.
Effectively communicate with Patients, Department Directors, Practice Managers, Providers,and other RSFH employees.
Maintain and update policies and procedures related to their areas of responsibility.

- High school Diploma/GED required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred.
Work Experience
- At least four (4) years of medical revenue cycle experience required; previous supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of billing/medical terminology and physician protocol is preferred.

Physical Requirements
Work may require sitting for long periods of time, stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally, lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds may be expected. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a calculator, telephone, copier, and such other office equipment as necessary. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and to work in an environment which can be very stressful. Occasional overtime may be required.

Skills
Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and others. Must have the ability to plan, control and direct all activities of assigned staff to include delegating workloads, being well organized and detail oriented. Basic computer skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Also, requires use of general office equipment including, but not limited to: calculator, fax machine, printer, and copier.
