ManpowerGroup Shipping/Receiving Clerk - Supply Chain in Charleston, South Carolina

Our client in the supply chain industry is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the logistics department supporting the warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk - Supply Chain

Location: Charleston, SC

Pay Range: Starting pay is $18.00/hr

What's the Job?

  • Able to work and be on time M-F 7:00am-3:30pm.

  • Receive, verify and record incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy and reject damaged goods.

  • Prepare items for shipping, including packaging, labeling and affixing shipping instructions.

  • Preparing and maintaining records, including bills of lading, invoices, and shipping orders.

  • Comply with all safety regulations and being aware of potential hazards in the workplace.

  • Must be willing to properly learn how to locate, count, sort, package and consolidate product on to pallets for shipment (handheld scanners are available).

  • Able to print labels needed to package components into finished products.

  • Able to stand for long periods at a time (2hr increments) to assemble/process and package components into correct packaging for each customer.

  • Able to properly verify each finished pallet before shipment.

  • Able to pull correct components for production line orders (as needed).

  • Keep an accurate track of inventory maintenance.

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs (unassisted) on a consistent basis.

  • Complete inventory counts on a regular basis.

  • Reconcile inventory counts to ensure accuracy.

  • Assist with inventory audits and other job-related tasks.

  • Must be willing to operate power equipment (Reach lift and Cherry picker experience required).

  • Basic written/math/computer skills are a must (will be working with a computer/printer).
