Job Purpose

The Sciences Grants Administrator (SGAdmin) provides pre- and post-award support to faculty of the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences; School of Engineering, Computing, and Mathematics; and the School of Health Sciences by working on matters related to the preparation, management and close-out of externally funded grants, in accordance with funding sponsor and Federal, state, and institutional regulations and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree and two or more years of experience in a university grants office are required. Knowledge of federal agency regulations, policies and procedures, circulars, laws, and federal acquisition regulations applicable to sponsored programs. Knowledge of grant monitoring procedures. Working knowledge of 2CFR200, including subrecipient monitoring and management provisions. Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational policies and procedures. Ability to review and assess complex grants. Mid- to sophisticated-level skills in Microsoft Office and business intelligence products such as Tableau, Cognos, or similar. Ability to maintain discretion for confidential information and appropriately handle critical information and sensitive situations.
