Job Purpose

Coordinator for Student Services oversees educator preparation program admissions, coordination, and advising. Oversees partnerships with P-12 schools, districts, and other colleges for candidate/alumni employment, and manages student services data coordination, analysis, and reporting. Collaborates withOSSCandEPPfaculty and staff to improve communications and processes and to provide general support to the college, community, and public in partnership with the School of Education.

Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor's degree and one year successful work experience. Experience working with PK-12 students, teachers and school districts preferred. Must have strong computer skills across multiple platforms. Must have clear oral and written communication skills and be willing to speak in front of large and small groups. Must be able to establish good working relationships with staff, faculty, students, other colleges, and the public. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge and understanding of College's mission, organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures Knowledge and understanding of educator licensure requirements Knowledge of programs of study for allTEDUprograms Knowledge of new and transfer student advisement techniques Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, P-12 partners, and general public Ability to define problems using independent judgment and critical thinking skills, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to present information effectively to College-wide administration, faculty, students, and P-12 partners Ability to display initiative, provide creative solutions, utilize diplomatic skills with minimal supervision Ability to read, analyze and interpret data and contribute to making improvements Possess strong organizational skills Possess high level written and verbal communication skills including grammar, spelling and punctuation Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office and other related computer programs and systems Ability to understand and adhere toFERPAstudent privacy regulations

Additional Comments Regarding Position

This position requires the ability to juggle multiple, ongoing projects at once. The candidate must display initiative and independence in work.
