Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Wholesale Distribution industry. This role is based in Charleston, South Carolina, and will be conducted fully on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications as part of your daily duties.

• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure all information is current and accurate.

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary action based on account status.

• Collaborate with team members Mark and Sarah for reporting purposes.

• Handle a higher volume of accounts payable tasks related to inventory.

• Adapt to a fast-paced work environment where tasks and priorities may shift.

• Ensure all financial transactions are carried out in compliance with company policies.

• Assist in other accounting tasks as needed. Requirements

• Prior experience in the Wholesale Distribution industry is preferred

• Demonstrated work experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk

• Proficiency in using Accounts Payable (AP) software

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles

• Demonstrated ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Office Suite, particularly in spreadsheet software, for producing financial reports and documents

• Excellent data entry skills

• Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of invoices and payments

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure

• Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal departments

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to accounts payable.
