Job Overview
The nature of this position is to:
Collect, manage, and evaluate Key Performance Indicators for improvement opportunities
Recommend and offer suggestions to most effectively utilize and safely operate the equipment
Advise the mine on the proper maintenance procedures and development of preventive maintenance schedules
Leads regular continuous improvement meetings
Assist mine personnel to evaluate electrical, hydraulic and mechanical failure and recommend corrective action
Key Job Responsibilities
Complete regular machine inspections with customer
Determine and implement effective preventative maintenance schedules with mine personnel
Evaluate monthly parts and component usage, determine excessive use levels, suggest corrective actions
Collect and manage Key Performance Indicators
Complete regular inventory reviews to determine customer stocking requirements
Conduct on-the-job training for equipment maintenance and operation
Lead quarterly review teams
Evaluate down time occurrences for improvement opportunities
Complete machine commissioning requirements
Act as a liason between Joy and mine personnel
Observes equipment operation to ensure proper performance. Suggests necessary improvements.
Submit timely and comprehensive Field Service Reports related to machine performance and other activities
Reduces contract liability exposure
Counsels customer in maintenance of equipment
Responds to product complaints in an expeditious manner
Qualifications/Requirements
3-5 years technical/maintenance experience with underground mining equipment
Associates degree in Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience
Proficient with personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP basics
