SAIC is looking for a Systems Engineer with strong Program Management experience to support a highly dynamic and growing program with one of our US Government customers. You will be a part of a large multi-year contract that supports our customer in systems engineering and integration across a broad portfolio of projects. You will come into a program that enjoys a close working relationship with the customer, bringing exquisite technical expertise to bear on real world problems, helping the customer execute real world missions that impact National Security on a daily basis. This close relationship, along with the program's longevity (20 years), ensures that as a new team member you will find a depth of support to grow and develop that is unmatched, all while making a difference - daily

Your role in the program will focus on program management and systems engineering support for a worldwide ground infrastructure leveraging support from multiple internal and external partnerships. You will interact and often work side by side with senior customer managers and at times assume responsibility for maintaining forward progress on programs and projects in the absence of the customer. Because of this, the ability to work independently and communicate robustly (both written and oral) is essential.

Qualifications

General Requirements:

  • Bachelors and fourteen years experience; Masters and twelve years experience or PhD and nine or more years experience

  • Strong budgetary and program planning skills

  • Coordinate project interdependencies, risks, issues and opportunities

  • Manage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining engagement from inception to closeout

  • Strong mentoring skills

  • Ability to serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs

  • Act as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications

  • Significant experience with general RF, communications and radar systems
