Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Site Activation Specialist to support KTS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity.

Under general supervision provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support to handle escalation issues and break fixes. Works closely with all levels to protect investment in technology through skillful life-cycle management, next generation computing and security practices by designing the process and technologies required to implement, support, organize, modify and otherwise maintain computer systems as they relate to end user devices. Evaluates tickets for ongoing performance and architecture improvement opportunities for reduction of endpoint incidents. Manages endpoints in a hybrid environment consisting of thin clients with virtualized desktops and physical PC workstations. Responsible for the platform and methodologies of PC Desktop Support including some hands on problem solving but will also have mid-level Microsoft server, virtualization and network support responsibilities. Adheres to organizational change management responsibilities.
Soft Skills:
Experience working with customers on resolution, know when to escalate
Good time management skills with the ability to balance and juggle multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills with technical, non-technical staff, end users and leadership
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Solid self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
Tech Skills:
Some understanding of IPV4 and IPV6 and the ability to read a trace route to:
Determine if gateways are correct
Validate speeds
Check to make sure that the IPs are in the right site
Ensure the end point devices are pointed to the new USDP
Expert knowledge of IT systems including IP addressing, routing, switching and firewalls
Light knowledge of how to read a batch file (used to help new Local TSD folks understand errors)
Mastery of office (excel, word, Sharepoint)
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
