Arlluk Technology Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Developer & Architect to support ATS and our government customer. This is a Remote opportunity. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

As a GIS Senior Developer and Architect, your primary duties will include publishing and updating spatial web services and designing and maintaining web apps that serve a variety of purposes within the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise environment of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The GIS Specialist will require broad knowledge and understanding of the ESRI software suite with a focus on web-based GIS, geodatabase design, and Python scripting.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage GIS applications that are based on growing and improving business demands.

  • Use desktop GIS to analyze data and create maps for internal purposes.

  • Publish web layers and configure web apps for internal and/or public consumption.

  • Performing daily tasks of inserting various types of data into GIS databases, such as texts or spreadsheet files that contain longitude and latitude coordinates, aerial or satellite imagery, tabular data, and digitizing paper maps or map images manually.

  • Coordinate closely with team members to ensure proper implementation of fixes, unit testing and configuration management.

  • Use several programming languages like Python or other scripting processes to automate geoprocessing and web mapping tools.

  • Oversee the planning and coordination of GIS activities to meet outlined customer goals.

  • Develop and manage control quality standards for system applications.

  • Perform data capture and participate in the design and development of geospatial and supporting databases.

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate geospatial documentation for reference purposes.

  • Staying up to date or abreast with the latest developments in the GIS field.

  • Giving support in the development of a work plan for complex geospatial projects.

  • Efficiently managing geospatial databases and developing effective maps and aerial photography.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of GIS Specialist or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with performing and conducting geospatial analysis using ESRI GIS products.

  • Demonstrated experience with Python, ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python, and ArcGIS API for JavaScript.

  • Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS Server, Portal, Web AppBuilder, and other web-based products.

  • Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online Administration.

  • Demonstrated experience in Geodatabase Schema Design and Implementation.

  • Strong analytical, communication skills.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States or resident alien. Must pass a background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography/GIS, Computer Science or other related field.

  • GISP Certification

  • Esri Training Certification

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
