Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Hardware Installation Technician – Level 1 to join our team based out of Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform installation, and support of new Windows based computer systems.

  • Install software on laptops and workstations

  • Prepare the computer systems for deployments and support the deployment activities

  • Assist with the installation and support of computer systems and peripherals.

  • Coordinates with Management for inventory, hardware orders, equipment moves, and shipping needs

  • Assist in assuring that work products comply with established deliverable guidelines including format and content

  • Assist in the development of documentation based on the team and customer's processes

  • Travel to customer sites and perform deployment activities to include, site surveys, install hardware, install software, remove hardware, check hardware for shipment, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Information Technology

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making

  • Experience in customer service

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications

  • Must be able to travel at least 25%, domestically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more technical certifications (CompTIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, MS Endpoint Administrator, etc.) highly preferred

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

  • A current and active Secret clearance strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to physically lift equipment weight up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to perform installation work in constrained spaces like under work desks, in small cubicles, and counter window environments

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time

  • Must be able to type

  • Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer

  • Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.

  • Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc.
