Cimarron Software Services, Inc. Electrical Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia

Cimarron is seeking an experiencedFacilityElectrical Engineerwith a background in facilities power systems and distribution to support a government facility in Springfield, VA and Chantilly, VA. This job is supporting a direct-hire, full-time/benefitted job with Cimarron.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain existing electrical equipment.
  • Design and overseenew power distribution system installations and upgrades.
  • Manage electrical engineering projects from conception through completion, coordinating with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
  • Perform detailed power distribution and load calculations, ensuring facility electrical needs are met effectively and efficiently
  • Oversee the integration, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including safety and performance checks to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure all electrical designs and implementations adhere to local, national, and industry safety standards, including NEC and OSHA requirements.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility requirements, only U.S. Citizensare eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
  • 5 or more years of experience.
  • Experience with facility power and distribution including:
    • Power Distribution Units
    • Master Distribution Panels
    • Switchgear
  • Familiar with Arc Flash software.
  • Experience with short circuit analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 15 or more years of related experience.
