Wells Fargo Senior Procedure Writer in CHANDLER, Arizona

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Procedure Writer to join the Commercial Banking Content Management team within Business Execution and Readiness team. The Commercial Banking ("CB") Content Management team works with CB business partners to consult, write and/or edit and publish procedures and related materials.

In this role, you will:

  • Write, edit, format, and update content to document business related information and processes. Apply writing, style, accessibility and brand standards.

  • Identify and consult with a variety of stakeholders to develop implementation plan

  • Organize content and page design to ensure content is clear, concise, effectively structured, and easily understandable for the reader.

  • Assess the scope and impact of changes to existing content or requests for new content

  • Identify and consult with a variety of stakeholders to develop implementation plan, assess size and scope of complexity and confirm impact

  • Manage deliverables for self and others. Ability to track and manage results within implementation plan

  • Apply metadata to improve user navigation and generate accurate reporting.

  • Participate in meetings and communicate with employees ranging from individual contributor to leadership roles.

  • Recommend and document business procedures and best practices, identifying process gaps and offering alternatives

  • Serve as team lead or escalation point and provide guidance to less experienced technical writers

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Partner with clients to review audience and develop strategy to address technical documentation needs

  • Ability to serve as editor for individual contributor writers or business partners. Provide feedback to writers on writing quality, structure, and style and standards.

  • Continuously improve and keep up-to-date the team's style and standards guide and team templates.

  • Lead or participate in developing documentation or document publishing strategy, policy and guidelines

  • Participate in establishing web publication guidelines, conduct procedure audits and certifications, or manage procedure timeline and pipeline

  • Review and edit material authored by others

  • Design and develop technical project artifacts, manuals, technical presentations, technical training materials, and complex web content

  • Complete quality control assessments of the work performed by team

  • Recommend and document business procedures and best practices, identifying process gaps and offering alternatives

  • Serve as team lead or escalation point

  • Provide guidance to less experienced technical writers

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Partner with clients to review audience and develop strategy to address technical documentation needs

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Procedure Writing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Procedure writing experience

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of professional technical writing processes and tools

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

  • Leadership experience

  • Experience with writing guides and style guides

  • Experience with Open Text or other content management systems

  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner

  • Works well both independently and within a team

  • Tenacity to drive for results

  • 5+ years with financial services industry experience with a strong preference for experience in Commercial Banking
