Wells Fargo Senior Information Security Engineer Cryptographic Protection in CHANDLER, Arizona
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer within the Information Security Architecture team. The Senior Engineer will be part of a team performs the cryptographic evaluations and certifications of data protection technologies along with information protection architecture responsibilities. Additionally, will engage stakeholders, subject matter experts, vendors and management teams for evaluation, analysis, reporting, and summarizing data evaluation of hardware security modules (HSM) and Key/Certifications management. Lab analysis will be performed to complete summaries and evaluations. Will perform evaluations in Linux Server operating systems, Hardware Security Modules, Key Managers and/or data protection/encryption solutions. Will develop and create technical/engineering documentation. Will design and develop scripting and automation practices. Participates in interactions with encryption technology vendors – helps to ensure vendor product engineering is in line with the objectives and security requirements of Wells Fargo and coordinates with the vendor support team to ensure issues impacting Wells Fargo are resolved quickly and effectively. Participates in interactions with technical, engineering and non-technical partners across the Enterprise for technologies listed above.
In this role, you will:
- In this role, you will:• Evaluate the cryptographic capabilities of multiple data protection technologies deployed across Wells Fargo networks, applications, public key infrastructure and authentication services. • Fluent in multiple scripting languages and best practices/ procedures for automation • Knowledge and understanding of Python, PowerShell, and Shell scripting• Perform deep-dive evaluations of encryption and other data protection technologies• Need to be capable of creating technical/engineering documentation and have excellent written and oral communication.• Participate in the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of complex data protection technologies alongside other teams within our organization.• Participates in interactions with encryption technology vendors – helps to ensure vendor product engineering is in line with the objectives and security requirements of Wells Fargo• Work with partner Engineering Teams on identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities and may also conduct risk assessments of Infrastructure to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and adherence to best practices.• May provide technical guidance to less experienced staff. Given the nature of the encryption technologies, the team environment is very fast paced and requires the ability to drive to solutions as an individual and to work effectively with the team as well.
Required Qualifications:
• 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 2+ years of experience with Linux operating system engineering or automation
• 2+ years of experience with or strong conceptual understanding of encryption or related data protection technologies
• 2+ years experience with security technology product evaluation, proof of concepts, & testing.
Desired Qualifications:
• Proven written and verbal communication skills with both Business/Management and Technical/Engineering resources
• Experience with security technology product evaluation, proof of concepts, testing, etc.
• Experience with engineering and support of Vormetric, Thales, Voltage, Gemalto/SafeNet and FutureX technologies
• Knowledge and understanding of technology server: file encryption technology, encryption key management and information security policies
• Knowledge and understanding of cryptography and key management
• Knowledge and understanding of Python, Ruby,

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
