Manufacturing - Production Worker I

Since 1957, The Zippertubing Company has been manufacturing USA-made EMI shielding, specialized heat shrink, cable bundling, heat shielding, and marine fairing solutions. From re-enterable wraparound to pull-through jacketing, and from snap button to continuous zipper closures, we have solutions to meet the needs of a wide range of industries and application requirements.

We are currently seeking a Production Worker I to join our team in Chandler, AZ. We need a person who can focus on quality while assembling products by hand that are made of various materials. The ideal candidate must have good hand dexterity, be willing to learn new tasks and equipment, be able to keep good records, and become a self-starter once trained. (Training and instructions are provided.)

Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Assemble materials by hand using good focus and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to start up, operate, tend, and stop a variety of equipment to performance standards once trained.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Understand and ensure conformance to specifications, and stop any non-conforming parts or products.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Work to applicable performance standards.
• Take instructions from supervisors and the production manager.
• Adapt to changing work tasks as needed.
• Report visual and audible equipment faults to supervisors.

Potential Role Growth:

• Operate Industrial sewing machines. We will train.
• Learn to operate a variety of CNC equipment. We will train.
• High attention to detail to potentially become an inspector with time and proper training. This skill set requires individuals to evaluate their own work and the work of others.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Production hands-on experience +1 year (preferred)
• Familiarity with automated equipment. (preferred)
• ISO, LEAN or other quality system experience. (preferred)
• Ability to read and understand drawings (preferred)
• Criminal background check (required)
• English (required)
• US work authorization (required)

Schedule:

• Full Time
• 10 Hour Day shift
• Monday to Thursday (5:30am 4:00pm)
