RESPONSIBILITIES:
The General Manager is responsible for the subsidiary business line revenue and functionality.
This position will be responsible for managing a vertical construction entity based in Alaska.
Will oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the subsidiary.
This position formulates subsidiary business strategy and manages talent.
To be successful in the role, the General Manager should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our employees develop and be productive, while ensuring profitability.
The General Manager will be responsible for business development, extensive and sustainable growth in their business unit.
Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
Develop budgets and forecasts for the business entity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Top candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related business field, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
5 years or more experience as a General Manager or similar executive role with a General Contractor.
A strong background in installation/ management for Military and DoD Government Contracts.
Effective communication skills and outstanding ability to lead an organization.
Knowledge of business process and shared service functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.) in a corporate structure.
