Utilize your electromechanical skills to provide exceptional service to customers. You will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting vacuum pumps, abatement, gas, and chemical delivery systems to support and grow our service and sales divisions. As part of your role, you will participate in site safety programs to ensure a zero-hazard environment, work professionally to develop strong customer relations, and demonstrate the ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. You will also adhere to all site fab and subfab protocol requirements, use various test meters, hand tools, and power tools, and maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance. Collaboration and a spirit of cooperation in a team environment are essential.
Responsibilities
Perform installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas, and chemical delivery systems.
Participate in site safety programs to ensure a zero-hazard environment.
Work professionally to develop strong customer relations.
Understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Adhere to all site fab and subfab protocol requirements.
Use test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.
Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Collaborate in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Respectfully take direction from supervisors or managers and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Field service experience
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
Ability to read schematics and diagrams
Electromechanical experience
High School Diploma
Associates degree or equivalent (military experience may substitute)
1-3 years of experience in a relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum
Positive attitude, energetic, enthusiastic, and willingness to learn
Self-starter with the ability to set priorities and demonstrate initiative
Ability to follow instructions and exercise good independent judgment
Competence in the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools
Basic computer skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills
Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods
Completion of training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment
Successful completion of Physical Capability assessment and a clean driving record
Fluency in written and spoken English, with the ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly
Work Environment
This position is onsite at Intel Ocotillo, involving physical workloads such as installing and decommissioning semiconductor tools. Work will be conducted wearing a respirator in a subfab/cleanroom environment, and you should be prepared to wear a respirator for at least 2 hours. Steel-toed boots are required, and the role involves walking 9-10 miles a day and lifting up to 50 lbs. Contractors should be open to about 5% travel, although no immediate travel is expected. Opportunities exist to earn certifications and badges at Intel, potentially increasing your hourly rate. The team is growing, and many contractors have been promoted to lead roles within the company.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $33.60
