ABM Industries Administrative Assistant in Chandler, Arizona

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our team with a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires a strong commitment to ensuring smooth and efficient office operations.

Pay: $19.00/hr

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office.

  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.

  • Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings, reports, and other documents.

  • Maintain and update office files, databases, and records.

  • Order and manage office supplies and equipment.

  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.

  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

  • Assist in organizing company events, conferences, and meetings.

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.

  • Collaborate with other team members to support various projects and tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a related role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with office management software, such as CRM and ERP systems.

  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and office administration.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
