Egan Company Curtainwall Project Manager 1 / Quality Control Lead in Champlin, Minnesota

Overview: Egan is seeking candidates for a Curtainwall Project Manager 1 / Quality Control Lead for the InterClad Team located in Champlin, MN. This role is responsible for providing overall project management and leadership for small sized construction projects and/or repair projects. This position is responsible for all aspects of these project including schedules and profitability. Also, ensure Egan quality control standards are adhered to on each project. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of small projects and repair work from start to finish. Work directly with customers, labor manager and Operations Manager to successfully bid, estimate, schedule, and execute these projects. Manage all aspects of a project through coordination and pre-planning, maximizing resources, and supporting the field and/or shop to perform work efficiently. Direct a team through project execution which includes: Gaining the respect of customers and field personnel. Managing the diverse expectations and opinions of all involved parties. Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Plan, organize, and staff key project positions through coordination with the InterClad leadership team. Initiate and maintain liaison with prime clients and other contacts to coordinate activities and facilitate successful execution of the project. Build upon existing and new relationships to facilitate future work with customers. Manage all financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings, and collections) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow while simultaneously maintaining a positive relationship with the customer. Make well-informed, effective, and timely decisions with limited guidance. Manage risk on projects and promptly implement corrective actions as required. Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors. Promote a positive safety culture by ensuring Egan's safety policies and goals are communicated and followed on all assigned projects. Build strong internal partnerships; work collaboratively with other Egan groups to support Egan's Mission, Vision, and Values. Perform additional duties and assignments as requested/needed. The basic responsibilities of the of the Quality Control Lead portion include but are not limited to the following: Participate in and enforce InterClad's QAQC program to insure (should be "ensure"?) proper installation of products. Oversee and perform quality control inspections in the shop and field, ensuring that work meets established standards and specifications. Take part in project drawing reviews and kickoff meetings to review and help set quality control standards for the project. Ensure that quality control (QC) processes are established and followed in both the shop and field environments. Identify and address any quality control issues early, working with field leaders and shop supervisors to implement corrective actions. Advise on proper techniques for water and air mitigation on projects including proper sealant techniques, assembly and fabrication details, and surrounding condition tie in. Coordinate as needed with drafting, project management, consultants, architects, and GC's to ensure industry best practices are being followed in an effort to minimize Egan's risk. Visit each active jobsite at least once a week to perform a quality control audit in PlanGrid and insure Egan's quality control process is being followed. Work closely with Egan's on site field staff to insure weather tight installations. Weekly review of field/office/shop quality control reports in PlanGrid to insure they are being completed effectively and accurately. Weekly review of reported project deficiencies, provide guidance as needed on the remediation efforts, and insure remediation is completed properly and tasks are closed in PlanGrid. Actively support and enforce quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) standards, making necessary recommendations to maintain c mpliance across all stages of the project. Conduct regular audits and reviews of QAQC procedures and provide guidance on improving these processes in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Shop and Labor Managers. Assist in furthering the development of Egan's quality control program. Perform additional duties and assignments as requested/needed. Position Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. General computer skills such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite Minimum of ten years successful curtainwall installation experience Self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through. Ability to communicate with customers and employees in a professional manner. Attention to detail. Problem solving skills. Time management. Minimum Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of curtainwall/metal panels with proven experience industry experience. Supervisory or work direction experience. Strong organizational skills. Foresight and flexibility in anticipating changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and react to those changes appropriately. Possession of problem solving abilities. Ability to read and interpret specs and blue prints. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Ability to communicate with others in English sufficiently to understand and easily be understood. Ability to fulfill commitments made to both internal and external customers on a regular basis. Ability to accurately layout complex projects by hand.
