  • Night Shift Position
  • Schedule: 2-2-3 (every other weekend off-Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Hours: 12-hour shift- 5:45 pm- 6:00 am

EDUCATION:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

A. POSITION PURPOSE:

The position is responsible for set up, operation and maintenance of various lining machines to ensure the continual and efficient running of production. The Lining Technician will troubleshoot quality and product issues, perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance, take measurements and record integrity of products produced, and perform daily safety and quality checks. The Lining Technician also monitors box fill and label application and reports or addresses problems immediately.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

C. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES:

Resets vision systems at start of shift. Verifies all material for each line matches Production Schedule. Uses a variety of tools and techniques to take measurements on sample closures and record data into computer system. Performs visual quality checks on closures throughout the shift. Performsring liner vacuum checks, vision checks, and checks mold cycle times to ensure quality product. Monitors control panels and listens to equipment operations to detect jams or malfunctions. Adjusts machine settings when necessary. Makes mechanical adjustments and repairs to equipment. Cleans compound filters. Empties vision barrels. Fills compound barrels. Collects scrap caps and prepares for Re-grind. Uses air tools and alcohol to clean lines. Reports daily performance/issues in log books and communicate with oncoming technician any changes, problems or issues with the line(s). Cleans at least one punch and one cutter per day per line. Cleans, sweeps, and mops work area as needed. Follows all safety procedures and completes daily safety check list. Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety and HACCP Pre-requisite Programs related to activities performed for this position.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six months to two years related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Skills and Abilities

Mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability required. Must be able to disassemble and re-assemble precision tooling.
