About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Material Handler and Delivery Driver to join our team in the Wholesale Electrical Distribution industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers, while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse, ensuring that all products are properly stored and organized utilizing our handheld barcode scanners. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can effectively communicate with team members and customers to ensure we provide exceptional customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver\'s license required, CDL not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted required
- Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a warehouse or delivery driver role
- Ability to operate a forklift or other warehouse equipment
- Ability to operate a cargo van
Responsibilities:
- General warehousing duties include staging and receiving incoming shipments, picking customer orders, and shipping orders according to customer requirements.
- Deliver products to customers in a timely and accurate manner
- Load and unload materials from a delivery van
- Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse and at customer sites
- Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a smooth delivery process
