Truck/Trailer Mechanic

Job Description

Seeking a Trailer Mechanic for a local company in Chambersburg, PA! Must have 3-5 years of previous experience. Great schedule on day shift, no weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect and test vehicles

• Complete preventive maintenance and repairs

• Listen to operator complaints and conduct inspections

• Repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions

• Verify vehicle service ability by operating equipment and conducting test drives.

• Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing vehicle systems and completing inspections.

• Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing.

• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions and performing preventive maintenance.

• Track all parts used for every repair to keep supplies ready.

• Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.

• Operate necessary equipment for repairs, including manual transmissions, driving and backing trucks, and operating power take-off systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Required to own appropriate tools needed to perform testing and repairs on vehicles and trailers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
