About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Supply and Transportation, at Letterkenny Army Depot, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities Maintain industrial electronic equipment, components, and systems. Conduct tests and modification on electronic equipment and systems. Able to read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and repair systems. Annotate records that required tests have been completed. Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on electronic equipment. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Can perform common tasks associated with repairing electronic systems and diagnosing system faults. I can perform basic machine repairs and preventative maintenance tasks. Work under the supervision of a work leader or journey- level employee who reviews my work for completion. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element) Clerical Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Theory of Electronics Trouble shooting (Electronic Equipment) Use of Test Equipment: Electronics PHYSICAL EFFORT Work assignments require light to moderate physical effort. There is frequent lifting, carrying and handling of items weighing 10-40 pounds and occasionally over 40 pounds. Work is performed in a sitting position for extended periods and frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching is required. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is normally performed in well-lighted, heated and ventilated areas; however, ear protection is required. There is the possibility of injuries such as cuts, bruises and burns caused by electrical shock and soldering irons. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
