Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. This role is within the building management industry and will primarily focus on accounts payable and payroll!

Responsibilities: • Responsible for the preparation of journal entries and general ledger • Oversee the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting • Handle the month-end close process to finalize financial statements • Manage the certified payroll process and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements • Process payroll for under 100 employees and address any related queries • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure all processes adhere to company policies and regulations.

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to maintain the General Ledger

• Familiarity with creating Journal Entries

• Experience in handling Month End Close procedures

• Certification in Payroll is desirable

• Ability to manage Payroll for under 100 employees

• Experience in Processing Payroll

• Knowledge of Prevailing Wage laws

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes in regulations.
