Description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk for our client based in Cerritos, California.

Responsibilities:

• Handle general office duties such as mail pick-up, sorting, opening, and distribution.

• Conduct research on checks to determine the appropriate entity and record it on the check stub.

• Provide backup receptionist duties as needed, including answering phones.

• Perform administrative duties for general office management.

• Prepare deposits for remote deposit capture machine and enter bank deposit information into various spreadsheets.

• Assist with FedEx management and shipments.

• Verify scanned documents for accuracy and completeness.

• Provide support to the accounts payable team by copying, scanning, and filing invoices and expense reports.

• Type letters, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.

• Assist managers, supervisors, and office staff with administrative and special projects or tasks.

• Maintain and organize files and records for the office.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or related role with a minimum of one year

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and accounting software

• Strong numerical skills with attention to detail

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
