Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Systems Engineer to join our team!

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with experience specifically in cloud computing and architecture, with a unique focus on enabling tenants to build applications in low-security environments (Impact Level 2-4) and deploy them seamlessly into high-security environments (Impact Level 5-6). This role is crucial for developing secure, innovative solutions that bridge the gap between varying levels of classified networks, ensuring compliance and security at every stage. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing solutions in Government CSPs and an understanding of the challenges that exist when performing deployments of applications across impact levels.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Implement cloud-based architectures that support the development of applications in lower security domains with seamless deployment into higher security domains.

  • Utilize knowledge of cloud-native tools and isolated CSP regions to facilitate the development of applications on low and deployment to high-security environments.

  • Support projects focused on the development of applications that operate on IL2-6, ensuring they meet stringent compliance standards while enabling operational flexibility across impact levels.

  • Act as a facilitator in secure cloud architecture, advising on best practices for building within strict regulatory frameworks.

  • Support strategic planning efforts to align technological solutions with organizational needs for secure application development and deployment across varying levels of sensitivity.

Key Relationships:

  • Internal Contacts: Collaborates with internal teams to integrate security measures into the application lifecycle effectively, enable cloud services as they become available within isolated regions, identify opportunities to improve tenant enablement.

  • External Contacts: Liaises with external stakeholders including CSPs offering isolated regions capable of supporting cross-domain operations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical/scientific

  • Professional experience focusing on designing and implementing solutions that enable building in lower security domains and deploying into higher ones.

  • Relevant certifications focused on Cloud Security (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate are highly desirable.

  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex cross-domain concepts clearly to both technical teams and decision-makers.

  • Deep understanding of deploying scalable solutions using cloud-native tools within isolated CSP regions designed for multi-level security operations.

  • Proficiency in system engineering tools relevant to secure environments; familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation) advantageous for automating secure deployments across domains.

  • Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to manage complex challenges; adept at prioritizing tasks effectively under tight deadlines within highly regulated contexts.

Salary Range:

$61,200.00 - $269,800.00
