Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Services Software Engineer to join our team!

Required Qualifications:

  • No security clearance needed to start, but this opportunity requires the selected candidate to be eligible and willing to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI level security clearance which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract

  • 2-3 years of software development experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical discipline

  • Experience with modern programming languages (Java)

  • Experience with Java Persistence API

  • Relational database development experience (PostgreSQL)

  • Experience working with service data formats (JSON, XML)

  • Knowledge of software engineering and programming concepts

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative/distributed team environment

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with application container development (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with asynchronous messaging frameworks, (Kafka)

  • Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques

  • Experience with source control systems (Git, Bitbucket)

  • Integrated development environments (IntelliJ)

  • Familiarity with agile development principles and practices (SAFe, JIRA)

Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $182,400.00
