Department: Non-Ferrous
Title: Shop Laborer/Yard Laborer
Purpose: Assist in identifying, sorting, and organizing various non-ferrous metals and
organizing shop and yard areas.
Reports to: Non-Ferrous Shop Foreman
Job Description:
Must have a valid driver\'s license.
Show up to work and be dressed in proper work attire on the floor at scheduled start
time.
Get work instructions at the beginning of day and follow through with assignments
Work between both Centerville and Prescott yards as needed.
Report completion of projects to Shop Foreman
Will be lifting up to 75# regularly
Identify and sort metal according to its type and size as well as other recyclables that
come through (i.e. cardboard, batteries, computer hardware, catalytic converters)
Clean various forms of non-ferrous metals (i.e. copper, brass, zinc)
Operate baler
Keep work area clean and organized, keep floor picked up and swept
Operate Skid Steer as needed and only when trained to do so
Operate forklift as needed and only when trained to do so
Operate various small tools
Operate a cutting torch as needed
Able to work weekends when scheduled
Assist in loading/unloading customer vehicles IF needed.
Work in Hot/cold temperatures
Willingness to work where needed
Team player everyday
Pass random drug screening tests throughout employment
