Job Description

The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer contributes to the successful design, implementation and maintenance of infrastructure solutions that meet the requirements of the organization and ensures the most cost-effective approach is taken. This role also provides technical services, including system maintenance and performance monitoring in support of the overall IT service offering. Moreover, the role collaborates with other team members and across teams in developing and defining policies and strategies for integration across IT.

Job Duties

  • Infrastructure Engineering:

  • Design, install, and develop infrastructure solutions, ensure alignment with the architectural vision, and monitor infrastructure landscape to ensure all systems are running effectively.

  • Apply deep domain expertise to ensure that the infrastructure is in a correct and understood state.

  • Perform technical checks, analyzing errors and tracking solutions of errors, planning and performing upgrade and installation tests for assembly and validation.

  • Contribute to the overall quality of service delivered to internal users and clients and supports the Service Operations Manager in continuing improvement of processes.

  • Contribute to the planning of the overall infrastructure vision and coordinate information technology planning and execution for underpinning IT infrastructure solutions in the respective domain and/or region.

  • Contribute to the roadmap for the development and evolution of the infrastructure that is appropriate for current needs as well as for future scalability.

  • Operations and Maintenance:

  • Plan and support the ongoing maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring minimized down time and all the maintenance activities are executed effectively on a daily, weekly and yearly basis.

  • Schedule and support backups and restoration of systems, and plan and test disaster recovery for the infrastructure.

  • Develop methodologies and practices to manage and plan capacity based on projected growth rate to ensure performance remains at acceptable levels.

  • Perform configuration and daily operational activities (through Vendors) while providing last level technical support and knowledge to assist with infrastructure issues.

  • Contribute to troubleshooting/problem analysis on IT infrastructure issues.

  • Support the applications and product teams in dealing with critical incidents.

  • Other responsibilities / duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field (or equivalent and related experience).

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing scalable, high-performance IT infrastructure for enterprise environments.

Preferred:

  • Comprehensive expertise in core IT infrastructure components, including networking, virtualization, storage, and operating systems, with a strong understanding of system architecture and its interdependencies across IT environments.

  • Hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments, with a strong focus on cloud architecture, cost optimization, and security best practices.

  • Proven ability to design and implement highly available, secure, and scalable solutions leveraging public and private cloud platforms, as well as on-premises infrastructure.

  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V,), with a deep understanding of compute, storage, and network virtualization in both on-prem and cloud environments.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with incident management and troubleshooting in complex, multi-environment infrastructures.

  • Experience managing service providers for outsourced IT infrastructure services a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with a focus on delivery, responsiveness, and accountability.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $83,187.00 - $112,302.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
