Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation Referent Relations Specialist in Center City, Minnesota
Responsibilities Referent Relations is a solution oriented, consultative and case management approach to providing support to our referents across the entire Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation system of care. Referent Relations offer a starting point for key referents and their referrals who are calling for help. Utilizing a comprehensive understanding for the HBFF system of care the referent relations representative guide referents, patients and other concerned persons to the best clinical solution based on the individual's needs, urgency, financial abilities, and the preferences of the stakeholders. Referent Relations specialists provide intake and comprehensive assessment services to prospective clients. This position is responsible for assessing, screening, managing, and converting callers to the appropriate program in addition to managing the intake process from the initial conversation through the admission and discharges processes. Create a client/customer focused experience for all clients/referent/customers seeking Hazelden Betty Ford services. Facilitate the intake process from the initial response to a request through the admissions process to ensure appropriate treatment for all potential clients. Support referent requirements from admissions to discharge. Build and expand relationships with professional referents by working closely with business develop team and other stakeholders to identify opportunities with current, dormant and new referents by providing inside sales activities. Facilitate and demonstrate communication of patient information in order to represent accurately the progress of patients according to internal/external standards. This role is a hybrid opportunity. The ideal candidate must be commutable to our Center City, MN or Rancho Mirage, CA locations. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social services, business or related field or equivalent experience Equivalent experience: Associate degree with 4 years related work experience. HSD/GED with 6 years related work experience. In-depth knowledge of chemical dependency and 12-Step Programs Minimum 2 years customer services or sales experience Preferred Qualifications: Chemical dependency experience that includes screening, intake, crisis intervention and customer service skills Intake experience with all levels of care Experience in a behavioral health setting Overview The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is the largest nonprofit addiction recovery organization in the United States.
