Job Overview & Responsibilities
As an Avionics Electrical Components Engineer you will be responsible for handling the development of new avionics components and hardware. This position will include executing new hardware development, requirements, schedule management, product development, and vendor management.
This engineering position will be working on programs for NASA, Engine Reuse, Upperstage Advancements and next generation avionics development, where responsibilities may include: Executing as the Certified Responsible Engineer (CRE) for avionics components that may include motor and valve control, actuator systems, power switching, communication systems, and/or flight computers. Developing and managing requirements, design, and test of new components. Work with lead and leader to execute trades studies and component/vendor down-selection Create test plans and execute testing with ULA vendors and commercial test houses Develop schedules and execution plans along side vendors Support and present at PDRs, CDRs, and other gate reviews Manage multiple development and test programs simultaneously.

Required Years of Experience Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree inengineering or other related technical field from an accredited college or university. Understanding of motor and valve controller components, power components, Communication and/or instrumentation systems. Experience reviewing engineering drawings, EEE parts lists, thermal analysis, test procedures, SOWs, engineering estimates, and schematics. Understanding of circuit design and control systems. Ability to make difficult, quick-turn decisions to ULA requirements and test parameters. Demonstrated experience building relationshipswith customers, vendors, and chief engineers. Available to work test-related issues outside of business hours and available to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other related technical field from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of program/project management (schedules). Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $80,292.00 - $125,404.00
