Our Network Systems Solutions and Demonstration Team is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager who is eager to engage in all aspects of the design process, including system-level trade analysis, requirements development, system architecture and design, performance assessment, integration and testing, as well as verification, validation, and support for fielded products.
As a vital member of our team, you will leverage your understanding of systems and software engineering processes along with your experience in leading projects or teams, particularly in the area of communication and networking products. In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of intermediate to experienced professionals while overseeing various stages of the design and development process. Your ability to drive project success through effective communication and collaboration will be essential, and your contributions will play a crucial role in our overall success.

YOU will l ead a dynamic team of engineering professionals, collaboratively setting objectives and crafting innovative approaches to achieve project goals, leveraging expertise in systems and project engineering for success.
YOU will e stablish clear objectives and inspire the team to execute innovative approaches that drive successful results.
YOU will u nderstand and communicate policies, practices, and procedures, influencing others while driving moderate to significant improvements in processes, systems, or products to enhance performance.
YOU will e xecute short-term (less than 1 year) operational plans or projects that have measurable contribution towards the achievement of results. Projects can be people or technically focused.
YOU will be p roficient in process, technical, and team problem-solving for complex issues across multiple sites and products, while effectively communicating with stakeholders both within and outside the team.
YOU will c ontribute to key HR decisions regarding talent acquisition, promotion, performance management, and rewards for direct reports.
You will have the a bility to lead a technical team and effectively manage complex projects, ensuring successful delivery on time and within scope.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer :
Fluency in program & project management methodologies including Waterfall, SAFE Agile and financial approaches such as Earned Value
Demonstrated experience leading programs to production, through all stages of life cycle
Knowledge of networking engineering fundamentals including: IP Addressing and Subnetting, Routing and Switching, Network Protocols, Network Security, and Network Topologies
Proven experience in capturing, designing, and decomposing system requirements.
Strong ability to manage program technical risks by thoroughly evaluating requirements and design aspects.
Successful track record in program pursuit and capture, including concept development, technical writing, and work estimation.
Expertise in planning project-level work to consistently meet schedule, cost, and performance goals.
Effective in interacting with engineering management, design teams, and executive leadership to drive project success.
Communicate effectively with Program Management, Business Development and Sales teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Serve as liaison between functional discipline groups and internal and external customers
Ability to travel occasionally to domestic and international locations
Familiarity with military concepts of operations
Familiarity with networking concepts, including the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
