Job Description:

Under the supervision of theVegetationLead Foresterthis position will be responsibleand accountablefor the completion of in-fieldvegetation annual plan and all line clearance activities.

Job Qualifications :

Candidate(s) willbe required to meet the following requirements:

  • Associates (or Higher)of Science in Forestry or other related field.

  • 5+ years ofutility vegetation management experience.

  • General knowledge ofutility vegetation management equipment (bucket/manual crew equipment, mowers,off-road tree removal equipment, herbicide application methods & equipment).

  • Demonstrated ability tocoordinatevegetationclearing in conjunction withlinerebuilds and new construction, including butnot limited to:

  • Crew & work scheduling

  • Working knowledge of easementlanguage, research, &parcel identification(map & field)

  • Notifying public entities on transmission line clearance work

  • Securing signed permission for work needed

  • Experience withaerial and groundinspections.

  • Familiar with FAC-003-1 and -2NERC vegetation standards.

  • Strong computer skills, including but not limited to:

  • working knowledgeof GIS based software programs

  • Microsoft toolkit

  • planning software

  • ISA Certified Arboristor obtain within 6 months.

  • ISA Utility Specialist certificationrecommended not required.

  • TRAQ certification recommended not required.

  • Ability to access railroad, state and federal properties with training or permitting in place.

  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively and accurately.

  • Be available during off-duty hours.

  • Familiar and able to use Microsoft and ITC software.

  • Able to work and retain access to all related ROW’s, stations and facilities.
