Job Title: Flooring Installer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, carpet, ceramic, and other types of flooring. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, measuring, cutting, and shaping tiles and carpet, as well as using hand tools to apply adhesives and grout.

Responsibilities

• Install various types of flooring including LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, carpet, and ceramic.

• Install tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, countertops, and other surfaces according to plans and layout.

• Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing.

• Measure, cut, and shape tiles and carpet.

• Use hand trowel to apply adhesives and grout.

Essential Skills

• Installation

• Construction

• Hand tool proficiency

• Experience in ceramic tile installation

• Experience in carpet, turf, and rubber flooring installation

• Ability to frequently lift 75 LBS

• Ability to consistently crouch and kneel

• Power tool proficiency

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with hand trowels

Work Environment

You will work in crews of 2-5 laborers. The work environment requires steel or composite toe boots/shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, and hi-viz attire. Basic hand tools including a pouch, hammer, screwdrivers, and a tape measurer are necessary. Eventually, you will be required to purchase your own tile cutter. The company provides knee pads.
