Job Title: Flooring Installer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. The role involves installing various types of flooring, including LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, carpet, ceramic, and other flooring materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, countertops, and other surfaces according to plans and layout. Preparation of surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Install LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, carpet, ceramic, and other flooring materials.

  • Install tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, countertops, and other surfaces according to plans and layout.

  • Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing.

  • Measure, cut, and shape tiles/carpet to fit specific areas.

  • Use hand trowel to apply adhesives and grout.

  • Frequently lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Consistently crouch and kneel during installation processes.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in installation and construction.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

  • Ceramic tile installation experience.

  • Carpet, turf, and rubber flooring installation experience.

  • Ability to frequently lift 75 lbs and consistently crouch and kneel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with hand trowel application.

  • Must have basic hand tools: pouch, hammer, screwdrivers, tape measure.

  • Will eventually be required to purchase their own tile cutter.

Work Environment

Work in crews of 2-5 laborers. Safety is a priority, and you will need steel or composite toe boots/shoes, a hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility clothing. The company provides knee pads.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
