Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to provide engineering support for roadway and transportation-related projects. This role involves planning, designing, and administering construction projects, completing feasibility studies and technical design reports, and coordinating roadway design plans with associated utilities. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a firm that focuses on civil engineering in the transportation and aviation industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for roadway/transportation-related projects

• Assist in the planning, design, and construction administration of projects

• Complete feasibility studies and technical design reports

• Coordinate roadway design project plans with associated utilities

• Demonstrate eagerness to learn new areas of engineering

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• Familiarity with or previous experience using MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD software for design and drafting tasks

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification

• Completion of an engineering internship or other professional employment providing experience in surveying, transportation design, MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer, and/or construction observation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Civil 3D

• Aviation and site development expertise

• Civil design skills

• Professional Engineer certification (preferred)

Work Environment

This position requires reporting on-site at the Cedar Rapids office. The work environment includes the use of technologies such as MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
