Job Description:

The Parts Coordinator is responsible for handling daily shipping and receiving of parts. All orders must be unloaded, received, and put away in the correct bins as they are delivered to keep the inventory up to date. Positively impacting the companys bottom line. Cycle counts performed in the warehouse to ensure that the inventory is accurate, and adjustments are made timely. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the Parts Room/s.

Skills Required:

*Computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Navision) *Ability to communicate clearly and in a professional manner even in stressful situations *Excellent interpersonal skills *Great attention to detail to be able to process orders quickly, efficiently, and accurately *Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to effectively manage time and complete all assigned tasks *Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and have the dedication to see tasks through to completion with limited errors *Strong work ethic and a personal drive for superior results *Basic technical understanding of truck/trailer industry *The ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently

Work Environment:

*Standard 40-hour work week applies, overtime and some weekend hours may be required with approval from management *Some areas of the workplace may be hazardous and/or dirty; proper safety and protective gear should be worn as needed *Lifting, bending, twisting, and climbing are all repetitive functions required throughout the work week

Responsibilities: Opening Purchase Orders in the system with detailed information Ordering product from vendors and requesting part numbers, pricing, availability, etc. Pulling appropriate parts for technicians and their service trucks Setting in place controls for parts room to ensure inventory is secure and parts are applied to the appropriate jobs Ensure the correct items are received and placed in the appropriate bin Applying for credits and completing necessary parts returns Processing part orders for Customers, Sales dept., and Service dept. Updating the inventory system with items received/issued Processing transfers of inventory to other locations Make all local purchases that are needed Monitoring of out-of-stock or low stock items Collecting and reviewing paperwork from Service dept. for accuracy Processing the billing of parts sales Performing cycle counts twice a year for the parts department and quarterly for service trucks Making deliveries to customers as required. Ensure the parts are secure at the end of the night and all outside parts areas are locked Working with Carrier Transicold to ensure we follow and complete their dealer guidelines and objectives Completing weekly on the road and over the phone sales calls. To be reported to the ICM Ensure documentation for all parts transactions Maintain the parts counter, including keeping area clean and organized Develop a cooperative and positive working relationship with other department employees Answer phone calls and emails to address any concerns at the highest level of response and attention Work on meeting/exceeding revenue goals monthly to ensure a profitable parts department and help the company grow.
